Donut Bar Is Closing Its Troy Location, But the Livonia Shop Opens in May

The Troy location of metro Detroit doughnut shop Donut Bar and Coffee closes Sunday, April 25, according to a post on Facebook. The Southfield shop remains open, with a new location opening in May on Haggerty Road in Livonia. “We have made the difficult decision to close our Big Beaver location after many factors that were out of our control,” the post reads. No further details as to what led to the decision to close the Troy location were provided in the post. Donut Bar quickly became a local favorite when it first opened in Southfield nearly six years ago. The shop goes beyond the typical fried doughnut flavors, offering around six flavor options on the menu like creme brulee, banana split, and s’mores.
